What happens to your photo

Processed, then discarded. When you snap a nameplate, your phone shrinks the photo (which also strips location and camera metadata), then sends it to our plate reader. The reader keeps the image in memory only for that single request — typically 15–25 seconds — and then it is gone. It is never written to disk, never logged, never used to train anything.

Where it goes. The photo travels from your phone to Cloudflare's edge, to a small relay, and to a GPU server run by RocSite (an RTX 3090 on whisper20). Request logging for image data is switched off at every hop we control.

What is kept, and where. The card the model writes is returned to your phone and stored only on your phone until you delete or export it. We keep counters (how many cards, how long they took) — no card contents, no photos, no identities.

Questions and drafts. When you ask about a plate or draft a vendor email, the card text (not the photo) is sent to the same reader and handled the same way: processed, answered, discarded.

Your controls. Delete any card from the board. Export your board as JSON or CSV. Clear the browser's site data to remove everything. Nothing needs an account.
